Well James Gunn’s reboot of the DCEU has casted their new Superman and Lois Lane with David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan replacing Henry Cavil and Amy Adams. The casting comes after they got Cavil back then within a week Gunn decided he wanted someone else.  The casting is for the upcoming film Superman: Legacy

Corenswet’s filmography isn’t that long and nothing of real note, the biggest having a role in Netflix’s The Politician whereas Brosnahan’s has more notable roles including a recurring role in first 3 seasons of House of Cards as Rachel Posner then starring as the main character and winning awards in the critically successful The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for Prime Video.

Gunn will be writing and directing the film. Gunn is a co-chair for DC Studios whose moves thus far have not been well received by the DC fans thus far, notably bringing back just to drop Cavil immediately. Gunn rose to notoriety following the success of the first Guardians of the Galaxy film for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Gunn has an ambitious 10-year plan that kicks off with Superman: Legacy.

Superman: Legacy is currently scheduled for a July 2025 release.
