Well it’s hard to remember a show being cancelled and brought back this many times but Futurama is back again. The show created by Matt Groening, best known as the creator of the Simpsons, centres around the Planet Express delivery company and the colourful cast including the main character Fry who fell into a cryogenic pod, causing it to activate and freeze him just after midnight on January 1, 2000 and reawakens on New Year’s Eve of 2999.
The shows return does see the cast return even though the actor who voices Bender was holding out for more money for the cast. The season will be 20 episodes long.
I feel like they gave Futurama a good ending before after the last revival so not sure they keep going back to this well, but I will be interested to see how the show holds up after 10 years since the last final episode aired, but maybe this will bring in new fans to watch the old stuff which was some of the best episodes for this time of program.
