Around this time of year for the gaming community major announcements tend to get made. No matter what you playing something cool would usually get announced and give you something to look forward to in the coming year. Or maybe this would be when big companies like Nintendo or Sony would announce their next big console. Usually conferences and showcases like these would be put on by E3. The Entertainment Electronics Expo. Although, as of these last couple of years, E3 has been on the decline and this year it has been cancelled altogether.

During the pandemic is when Summer Games Fest first got started and over these past couple of years has grown. Its creator is vying to make it take the place of something like E3 but with his own spin on it. As for fans, I feel like as long as they get new announcements and cool new games/products, where it’s coming from shouldn’t be too much of a concern. At least that’s how I feel.

This year’s recently wrapped up and The creator went to Twitter following the live broadcast and asked audiences how it fared. In his poll, 37% of people gave it a B grade 28% gave it a C 18% gave it a D or below and only 17% gave it an A.

So since it got Mostly B’s what was actually shown? They had a plethora of new game announcements as well as information on some already out. They also had news about some game-related T.V. Shows releasing like the new season of The Witcher. They also had guest celebrities appear like Nicholas Cage because he is going to be a new addition to the roster in the game Dead by Daylight.

There are still more presentations going on that fall under the Summer Game Fest Umbrella but they are all out on separately by the Companies like Microsoft or Ubisoft. So, although there is still news to come. There is already a lot of great stuff to look forward to.

If you are interested you can find the whole presentation below. In the comments, some viewers were kind enough to leave timestamps if you just want to skip ahead to certain parts.
