While High School graduations won’t happen for most students, a seniors home in Peace River will be doing one for some students who work there.

Four grade 12 students work at the Heritage Towers Lodge, and Cathy Morris from the North Peace Housing Foundation says they will be having a ceremony for them tomorrow.

“We’re going to try to make it as realistic as we can. The seniors are going to be involved in it as well. We’ve asked the seniors to dress up and we’re going to decorate. The girls will be wearing their gowns, some of them have actually gotten masks to wear to match them because we still need to mask up.”

Morris says it will also be a way for their residents to thank them for the work they’ve done during the pandemic.

“They’ve helped us out a lot and the seniors really appreciate them. It’s for everyone and it’s also seniors week, so we wanted to incorporate that as well. We’re really looking forward to it.”

The ceremony will go tomorrow at 2 PM.
