This weekends Headliner on Rising Stars is Brittany Kennell. Brittany is from Beaconsfield, Quebec not to far away from Montreal. Brittany would graduate from Berklee is Boston before embarking on a songwriting career in Nashville. She found herself as a contestant on NBC’s The Voice on season 10 and basically caused “Button Gate.” She chose to be on Team Blake over Pharrell and would eventually get knocked out in the Knockouts Round of the show. After a few more years in Nashville she moved back to Montreal where she currently resides, still visiting Nashville rather than living in Nashville and visiting Montreal. She is a talented singer-songwriter and was the first Canadian to compete on The Voice as well as the first female singer from Quebec to play The Grand Ole Opry.

Brittany recently released a new single called “Wait On You” which is a very relatable song about getting tired waiting on people. That was a part of the interview as well as about her journey to this point in career.

This was a conversation I expected to be short and sweet but honestly one of the most fun interviews I have ever done. It had to be edited down quite a bit to air during the show but I have the full conversation up here for you all.

Here is my FULL conversation with Brittany Kennell:
