This weekend on Rising Stars the headliner was Trudy and her song “You and Your Golden.” Trudy like Zach McPhee, was a headliner in the Top of the Country contest. Ultimately Zach was crowned but it was still quite the experience for the up and coming singer-songwriter from Quebec. Trudy is also a model & content creator adding to the artist repertoire. Quebec is quickly producing more and more talent in country music, on the English singing side of things, and Trudy is one of them. It was interesting to learn more about the budding country music scene in Quebec and how it compares to the rest of Canada.
Her song “You and Your Golden” is a feel good song about a past pet, a golden retriever to be more exact, that her partner brought on their first date.
