This weekend on River Country Rising Stars the show was headlined by Reed Salmon an emerging talent from the Red Deer area. Reed discovered his love of music at a young age but gave it up as a possible career in his teen years, until after a break up. Reed has recently put out his second radio single with “Summer To Fall,” a follow up to “If We’re Being Honest.” The song “Summer To Fall” is about the a summer relationship/fling as it goes from summer to fall, that explores the change of the relationship with the changing of the seasons.
I talked with Reed about the new song as well as the beginning of his pursuit of music. We also discussed the challenges of being an emerging talent in the changing times with social media numbers becoming a massive factor. We explored the how he has adapted to the changing times and blends it with other passions such as a dirt biking.
