This past weekend on River Country Rising Stars our headliner was Morgan Klaiber. Morgan is from the Cottonwood Dessert in Southern Alberta and is the daughter of Reese Klaiber, a rancher with a couple top 40s at Canadian country radio in the late 90s. Morgan back in the fall she was the big winner of the 2023 Ranchman’s Rising Star Competition in Calgary. Fresh off her debut EP comes her new song “Cowboy Killer” that was written by Deric Ruttan and Brad Tursi. This mark her first single released to radio.
In talking with Morgan we find out more about her, how the new song fell in her lap after a massive name finally released the hold, as well as what the future could look like for the talented singer who could be a massive star should the stars a line.
