This weekend on River Country Rising Stars the headliner was Mackenzie Leigh Meyer and her new single “House Husband.” Mackenzie is from Hamilton, ON and has had created a good career for herself. Not only is Mackenzie have a budding solo career but also plays in the band for Robyn Ottolini and Graham Scott Fleming. Mackenzie has won the CMAO Roots Artist of the Year twice and this year is looking for a hat-trick along side a nomination for Musician of the Year.

Her new single “House Husband” is one that has been described as a cheeky, twangy celebration of modern love that’s as clever as it is catchy. It is a song I know that women will enjoy as who doesn’t want a house husband to take care of all the chores around the house.
