This weekenders headliner on River Country Rising Stars was Karli June. Karli is a singer-songwriter from Listowel, ON. Karli this past year has had a top 30 hit in Canada and got to #12 on the country charts in Australia with her song “Feel Like Home” which featured Ryan Langdon on the track. That song has netted her 4 Country Music Association of Ontario Award nominations. She is nominated for Female Artist of the Year, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Songwriter(s) of the Year and Music Video of the Year. Now she has a new song called “Still Make Cowgirls.”
“Still Make Cowgirls” is a song that comes from Karli’s real life experience from growing up on a farm, and being an actual cowgirl, while letting the world know these girls still exist. The authenticity of the song truly drive it. Karli is hoping it will be a success at radio much the way “Feel Like Home” was.
