This weekend on River Country Rising Stars the headliner was JaimesonRhy and their new single “Something More.” JaimesonRhy is a duo comprised of Jaimey Hamilton & Rhyley Bremner, both hail from Vancouver Island. The duo started between the long time friends during the pandemic as Jaimey had already began a career as a solo act, but together they truly make some amazing music together. There is a funny story as the name and how it came about which you will hear below. Despite only being together as an act for a short period of time they are beginning to make strides opening for acts that come to the island and beginning to play festivals including being announced for Dauphin’s Country Fest this year.
The new single “Something More” came from Rhyley’s ability to really know how to pick’em when it came to guys. The song is about wanting or needing something more from the partner in the relationship than the very little they give as they prefer to just take. The song has become one of the duos favourite songs from their setlist and was a “no brainer” to get put out on radio.
