The first of the headliners this weekend on Rising Stars was Berlyn Broadhead aka Berlyn. Berlyn is a young singer-songwriter from Slave Lake, who at a young age is making a big name for herself winning the Country Music Alberta (CMAB) Horizon Youth Award last year after being up for it the year before. Berlyn has been singing since she was 5 and cut a couple albums in Nashville at around 14-15 years old and was recently a finalist of Ranchman’s Rising Star competition.
