This weekends Headliner was Ashley Ghostkeeper. Ashley is a talented singer-songwriter from the Mackenzie and Peace Region, being born in High Level and living in the Peace region over the years. Though the Cree and Metis singer now calls Calgary home for her career in music, modelling and background acting but she continues to make trips north to play shows and visit family.
Ashley recently embarked on her first headlining acoustic tour, North of 35, which played all the shows in Northern Alberta, including two stops in Peace River. Before that you may have caught her playing the Region 6 Metis Festival in Peace River this past summer. While she is continuing to learn more and more about the industry and touring only a few years into her music career, she certainly has been making a name for herself playing shows throughout Western Canada and having a drive that some performers could only wish to have.
Ashley is the first headliner to do the full headliner interview in person and in studio, after Kyle McKearney’s interview was done over the phone but CCMA red carpet interview was mixed in.
