Rising Stars Headliner Interview – Alecia Aichelle

This weekends headliner was Alecia Aichelle. Alecia is originally from Kelowna, BC and found herself singing at a young age in church which would eventually lead to her pursuing music with getting an education in it. Some of her first musical influences include Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Shania, Dolly, Patsy Cline, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Terri Clark, Paul Brandt, CCR, and Elvis, to name a few. Alecia attended the Red Deer College Music Program where she achieved a Music Diploma in Voice and Piano Performance before moving to Nashville. Due to Visa restrictions during the pandemic she found herself back in Red Deer and making trips to Nashville.

Alecia’s new song “Unbroken” is based on her real life story being in a controlling and abusive marriage when she was young and naïve. The talented singer-songwriter uses her love of horses to draw comparisons to being free from that past and moving forward in positive ways.
