The Peace Regional RCMP is looking into the death of a 28-year-old male and his dog.

The RCMP was notified just past 9:00 AM on September 7 that the man and his dog were found on Township Road 812 near Reno.

The investigation reveals that they were hit by a moving vehicle.

Additional information in this case says that two men were heading westbound on highway 812 between 10:00 PM on September 6 and 9:00 AM on September 7 between Range Roads 200 and 201.

Sometime during that time frame, the older model GMC pickup truck they were in when off the road, hit a culvert and came to a stop in a creek.

One male was found in the truck with non-life threatening injuries and the deceased male was found around 2.5 kilometres away from the truck.

The surviving male was believed to be the passenger.

The RCMP is looking for more information on this case.
