It indeed was a Santa Sized Event on Tuesday.
The numbers are in for the Peace Country Co-op Pack the Present Food Bank Drive.
Residents helped to donate $8,000 in Goodbye To Hunger Bags for the Local Food Banks in Peace River & Grimshaw.
At the Peace River Store, donations to the Food Bank totaled $1500, which Co-op matched.
At the Grimshaw Store, $2500 in Goodbye To Hunger Bags were bought by shoppers, which again were matched.
All the food was delivered to the Berwyn/Grimshaw Food Bank & The Salvation Army Food Bank in Peace River.
