Meal Prep: Do you do it?

Whether you live on your own or are feeding a family everyone has got to eat. You can always grab something quick but that can start to add up. So of course people will tend to buy food and plan ahead. a term that has been coined for this activity is meal prep. So do you do it?

I didn’t think I did until it was recently pointed out to me. of course, I cook food for myself and get groceries but while cooking meals I always made sure that there were leftovers. This just made cooking easier for the next day because I didn’t have to worry about making anything all the cooking was already done. As it turns out that is exactly the process of meal prep, albeit usually with a little more thought put into the prep part.

So since I apparently have been doing it this whole time I decide to ask you, the listener, on the morning show if you do any of these things and you had some interesting responses.

We had someone write in saying I do prep “When I’m hungry” which although is when I usually cook food I don’t think necessarily think counts as meal prep. To further go down the anti-meal prep route we had someone write in saying that I do it ” After I’ve already been starving for approximately 3 hours” so after this answer, I started to realize that not everyone does meal prep.

Although maybe I spoke too soon because then I found a comment where someone said I do meal prep for “Two weeks. Makes it easier on the grocery budget.”

So although some may do meal prep and some may not. The important part is that you get some food and stay nourished. I mean the whole idea behind it is to make meals easier through the week. But honestly, who cares as long as you get a tasty meal! I count that as a win!
