By now we all know about the controversy surrounding Morgan Wallen cancelling his concert at the last minute a little over a week ago in Oxford at Vaught Hemingway Stadium at Ole Miss. Whether he did in fact lose his voice or if the the rumors of the controversial singer being “in the bag” are true, Christopher Thomas, who was one of the disappointed concert goers is using the incident to benefit a charity. The man from Franklin, Tennessee is selling shirts that say “I did not see Morgan Wallen live and in concert in Oxford, MS” for $28 USD to benefit the victims of the Rolling Fork/Silver City tornadoes in March.
The deadline for buying the shirts is May 7. Which can be done HERE.
Christopher Thomas isn’t looking to profit from the incident to recoup the money he lost on his trip but to use it to help those in need. “One hundred percent of the profit will go to charity,” he said. “This trip was intended to be a great experience for me and my 15-year-old son, and it was. I have seen the pictures and video from Rolling Fork, and I am sure that doesn’t even do it justice. They need the help and if we can just help a little bit, that is a good thing.”
It is good to see someone finding a way to spin this disaster of a situation into something positive.
