For a lot of people, like myself grew up watching the Canadian TV network Teletoon. The network, which is owned by Corus Entertainment is officially closing up shop on March 26th . The network is going to be rebranded as Cartoon Network, with current Cartoon Network programming being rebranded as Boomerang.
The multi-platform streaming service that was recently launched Teletoon+ is set to keep the Teletoon name and brand after March 26th. The focus of the programming will that of Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network programming.
It is sad to see the network change, as like I said I grew up with it and enjoyed shows like Angela Anaconda, What About Mimi? What’s with Andy? 6Teen! heck even Mega Babies. It hasn’t been the same network as it was that I grew up with but it is still a shame to see the channel go after 25 years.
