The MLB Home Run Derby is often a major talking point and last night it wasn’t about dingers and Teoscar Hernández of the Dodgers winning the prestigious title but on the anthem performance. Country singer and 4x Grammy nominated Ingrid Andress was tasked with the performance and her voice was cracking non-stop. The incident quickly became the talk of social media trending around the world, some likening it to the attempted assignation of former US President and current candidate Donald Trump with bleeding ear remarks. There are soem that are wondering if this is some new kind of TikTok publicity stunt to get her name everywhere, as she currently is slated for a new single release for “Colorado 9” next week.

Earlier today Ingrid would finally speak on the night in a social media post declaring she was drunk and would be seeking help at a facility. See photo below:
There is a group who is supporting Ingrid in comments including other country singers, while others are viewing this as nothing more than an excuse for the performance and a PR move. I do question the broadcast and her team for allowing her to perform if she truly was under the influence.
I can only hope if she truly does have a problem, she is getting the help she needs and this isn’t your PR 101 move.
