It’s been quite sometime since Happy Gilmore came out, nearly 30 years ago believe it or not. The popular Adam Sandler has the long awaited sequel coming to Netflix on July 25th. Happy Gilmore is joining a growing list of sequel films coming long after the original or the perceived end of a franchise.
The film has yet to give us the plot of the film, but it appears Happy continued his winning ways and will see Sandler playing the title character once again with Julie Bowen returning to her role as Virginia, and Christopher McDonald back as Shooter McGavin and even Ben Stiller as Hal L. The cast will feature Bad Bunny as Happy’s caddie and will have cameos from numerous pro golfers like John Daly, Rory McIlroy and the legend Jack Nicklaus just to name a few. Also making cameos will be Eminem, former NFL RB Reggie Bush, Current NFL TE Travis Kelce, talk show host Dan Patrick, and professional wrestler Becky Lynch.
It will be something I will watch out of curiosity, as I am not the biggest Adam Sandler fan and his recent movies are to the quality of his 90’s and early 2000’s films.
