A 54-year-old Grande Prairie man is charged with possessing and distributing child pornography.
Brian McCausland was arrested on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, after an investigation began in December 2016 over allegations about sharing child porn on social media.
The suspect was subsequently released on a Recognizance to appear in a Grande Prairie courtroom on May 29.
McCausland is also to abide by strict conditions, including having no contact with anyone under the age of 16, and to not have access to the internet at any time.
As well, due to the complex nature of such cases, the investigation will continue.
