As Halloween is on Monday I decided for the last Halloween edition of Friday 5 is going to be the weird, random and unique things I or my coworkers have gotten while trick or treating. These tend not to be your mini chip bags, variety of candy or chocolates but items you’d be surprised to find when you empty you trick or treat bag.
5. Pop (Cans & 2L)
A rarity but I have gotten cans of pop while trick or treating, often not major brand but on a occasion a can of Coke or Root Beer finds it’s way into my pillow case. The 2L is due to one of my uncle’s handing them out to the kids in his village usually orange or root beer … and no I am not kidding I have bought and picked them up for him to give a away
4. Mini Paddle Ball
Yup I got a mini paddle ball at one point in a baggy. Just the ones you get at a dollar store for party favours like you might get in a goody bag. It was certainly something that I never got more than once but was certainly weird to get one at Halloween. Maybe they had left overs from a recent birthday party.
3. Dental Hygiene Products
Yup once or twice I have gotten a tooth brush and others here at the station have stated the same adding on dental floss to the mix of things they have received while Trick or Treating. Dental Hygiene is important but not on Halloween, we can worry about that again on November 1st.
2. Play D-Oh
So apparently people at the station have recieved Play D-Oh while trick or treating and I am the odd one who has never found it in my pillow case at the end of my night. It is an interesting thing to get but I wouldn’t have turned it down if I had gotten while out and about trick or treating. While it is awesome but it is still weird to me to get on Halloween.
1.Disposable Camera
As weird as it pay seem I did on 1 occasion got a disposable camera trick or treating. It was going to an area I had never trick or treated at before and I was rewarded for continuing on after 3 large pillow cases of candy. It was so shocking that I brought it into school and my buddy I was with was able to verify as he got one as well. Don’t think I ever actually got the film developed but it was certainly a unique and weird thing to get while trick or treating on Halloween.
