To celebrate 100 years Disney released a short film called Once Upon a Studio. It features characters from their animations over the last 100 years. The short is only about 8 minutes long and can be watched on Disney+
I really enjoyed it. It was really fun to see all these classic characters that we know and love back again, sometimes interacting with each other, and getting up to fun shenanigans. Like when Moana drops in with Flounder or we see Baymax squish Donald Duck in an elevator. It was super great.
The general plot of this short video is all the characters are coming together to take a group photo, which you think would be easy…but no. Goofy ends up breaking the Camera and they have to all come together to make things right. Fix it Felix even helped fix the camera, It was fun to see the old characters with the new.
Speaking of old characters, of course, the Genie from Aladdin is here, and voiced by Robin Williams no…not by AI or something like that. They had some clips from when he recorded his lines that they were able to use for this short. It is really cool to have the classic character come back to life.
Overall if you’re a fan of Disney you’ll probably enjoy this short, sweet and fun short. Here is the Trailer.
