Conor McGregor Finally Returning ???

Conor McGregor, who is the biggest name and draw in the UFC and the MMA world, possibly the world of combat sports has been out of action since his loss via TKO (doctors stoppage) when he suffered a broken tibia in rematch between him and Dustin Poirier back in January 2021. That sadly continued a trend of McGregor not winning a truly meaningful fight since UFC 205 in 2016 prior to he boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr. This injury isn’t just something you pop right back up from but Conor’s heavy social media taunts and call outs and a coaching stint on the Ultimate Fighter led many to believe the 35 year old was coming back and had a fight secured with Michael Chandler. The problem is McGregor with the injury left the USADA drug testing pool, and has yet to officially rejoin, which takes 6 months before Conor can compete again. Conor has been trying to return without USADA but hasn’t been able to and many speculate as to the reason why given how much “bigger” the former two division champion appeared on social media.

Conor has now come out and said he submitted the paperwork to UFC senior vice president of athlete health and performance Jeff Novitzky to get the ball rolling on his return. This makes people believe the return in coming, but not so fast according Chael Sonnen, former middleweight champion contender. Chael breaks down why this may not be what it seems, believing it might just be another ruse by the Irishman or is it actually.
