This weekend on River Country Rising Stars the headliner was Carson Janik and his current single “Easy For You To Say.” This song from Carson has been on the show before and I wanted to learn more about it from Carson himself. Carson is from Tecumseh, Ontario which is near Windsor and the US border, which influenced his musical tastes until he heard Luke Combs and that changed everything for the 20 year old. Carson is about a year removed from his debut album “Neon To Lean On” and is cranking out some great tunes as he works towards his next project.
“East For You To Say” may not be one that Carson wrote himself but one he truly loves. The song was written by Steven Lee Olsen, Josh Kerr and Troy Vergas. For Carson this song is continuing a strong trend for the him as his prior single “Til A Heart Breaks You” in late January 2024 and gave Carson his first #1 at Sirius XM’s Top of the Country Channel for the month of April. Carson’s current album “Neon to Lean on” has over 1 Million streams and counting.
