This weekend on River Country Rising Stars the headliner was Cambree Lovesy with her new single “Afterthought.” Cambree is a singer-songwriter from BC, and someone who has embraced the century music scene and has seen the BC scene embrace her right back. When not performing you will catch Cambree working for the Abbotsford Canucks, the farm team for the Vancouver Canucks, creating content and in game hosting for the team. Cambree may be young but she has over a decade of performing under her belt, and has had opportunities to showcase at the CN Grey Cup in Edmonton, The Local Nashville, Cook County Saloon, Rogers Arena, The Roxy, BC Place, Gabby’s Country Cabaret, and many more venues across North America, including opening for acts such as Dallas Smith, Chilliwack, and Tenille Arts.
Her new single “Afterthought” is an upbeat number that is about not being an afterthought to someone. The idea that a person cannot leave and time later come back an expect to pick up after being forgotten about for that time period. A nice recent addition to the her growing catalogue after “Eye to Eye”
