Forestry Update,
Fire 68 (Harmon Valley) has not grown to the north but there are still hotspots throughout the entire burn area. The rain has definitely helped both by raining on parts of the fire and by raising the relative humidity.
The fire will remain classed as out of control until there is dozer guard around the entire perimeter and there has been crews worked the entire perimeter and are comfortable to call it being held, much still depends on the weather.
This rain really helps the crews gain ground with the perimeter, and any areas or sides of the fire that flare up to threaten community get priority.
