Northwestern Alberta is bracing for the 2024 Wildfire season, which normally starts today.
But thanks to the lack of precipitation, the dry conditions, the busy season last year, and fires still active in the area, the season started on February 20th.
Procedures will be paid attention to more because of conditions, soil, and surrounding activity, heading into the 2024 season.
