Organic Alberta is partnering with many local organizations to host Crop Walks in Deadwood and Fort Vermilion this week.
The aim is to identify Weed Seedlings in organic farming, which has become quite popular in the Northern part of Alberta.
The hands-on event takes participants through the recognition of key weed species at the seedling stage, when control is most effective.
This event is also an introduction to a new Summer Weed Survey program, which Organic Alberta is managing.
The gathering is FREE, with lunch included.
