Police have charged a man from Valleyview with sex offences.
RCMP received a report earlier this month of a male offering children money in exchange for sexual services in the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.
Police investigated and 49-year-old Valleyview resident Shawn Atkinson was arrested and charged with:
– Assault (x2);
– Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration by a person under 18.
Atkinson was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released with his next court date set for June 19.
