Peace River, Alta. – On July 27, 2023, at approximately 7 a.m., Peace Regional RCMP were notified of damage to the entrance of a business on 100 Street in Peace River. RCMP attended and learned that the business had been broken into and that a Bitcoin machine had been stolen. Investigation revealed two suspects, through surveillance, who were later found and arrested; the Bitcoin machine was recovered.
Jesse Jackson (43), and Richard Strong (38), who are both residents of Grimshaw, Alta., were both arrested for break and enter to a business as well as theft over $5000.
Both Jesse and Richard were held for a Judicial Interim Hearing where they have both been remanded with an upcoming court date of July 31, 2023 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.
