The Peace River Royals had their home opening game against the undefeated NEBC Trackers at the Baytex Energy Centre on Friday October 6th. The Royals lost 7-1. The only goal of the evening was made by Hudson Chalifoux. Combined, Dominic Bernetic and Mason Ward made 27 saves.
Saturday was an uplifting game for the Royals as they won 4-1 in their away game against the GPAC Storm in Clairmont. The game’s honourable mentions go to Cole Isaac who scored twice and single goals were made by Wyatt Konowalyk and Blake Anderson. Mason Ward brought home the win with a 32 save performance.
The Royals will be back on the ice at the Baytex Energy Centre on October 14th at the Baytex Energy Centre when they face the Fort McMurray Barons at 12:15 pm.
