The Peace Regional Recreational Centre was discussed at the most recent Peace River Town Council Meeting on Monday, April 24, 2017.

Councillor Terry Sawchuk says there were 18 companies who submitted applications to be looked at for consideration.
He says they’ve been short-listed down to five finalists.
“Those five will be receiving tender packages to be filled out of the next couple of days,” said Sawchuk. “The applicants have until mid-May to turn them in, since that’s when we hope to issue the tender to the winning contract. We expect the sod turning to happen during the second week of June, with construction to start in the same month.”
The final five companies include Clark Builders, Scott Builders, Bird Construction, Marshall-Lee Construction, and EllisDon Construction Services.
