- From the RCMP’s Weekly Wanted file, Police are looking for Ryley Cole Chomiak.
His last known whereabouts was in High Level, as he’s wanted for activities in La Crete, High Level, Bushe River, and MacKenzie County. - The Northland School Division has been awarded for advancing the Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.
The Division’s proposal to offer collegiate programming has been approved by Alberta Education. - The town of High Prairie is beginning construction of The Buchanan Splash Pad, starting today, adjancent to the Pool.
Construction is planned to be complete by Canada Day, weather permitting. - Lemonade Day is happening this weekend, in Peace River, Fairview and High Prairie. (Sherry Crawford interview in separate story)
- The smell and taste of smoke has been hanging heavy in the air across much of Alberta lately, as wildfires in northern B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan continue to burn.
That prompted Environment Canada to issue Air Quality warnings for most of the province – stretching from Peace region all the way down to the American border. - Stanley Cup Final tonight… Game 4 Edmonton is in Florida, the Panthers lead 2-1.

- The Toronto Blue Jays are off today to fly to Philidelphia to start a three-game weekend set with the Phillies tomorrow.
The Jays are winners of 12 of their last 14 games, after recently sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals. - The Peace gets a mix of Sun and Cloud with a chance of showers this afternoon, then it gets cooler and wet. An Air Quality warning is still in effect.
