- EVAC orders are continuing for Chateh and the communities around Red Earth Creek, with Hwy 686 continuing to be closed.
Meanwhile, smoke is moving in a west-northwest direction and warnings are in effect for air quality. - Slave Lake RCMP have a man from Kinuso in custody, after a breach of conditions. 34 year-old Jace Paul Sound has a date with the Judge this morning.
- The RCMP Musical Ride is making tour stops in mid to late August in High Level, La Crete, Fairview and Donnelly.
- Positive Public Feedback has officials at Energy Alberta happy with the future of the Peace River Nuclear Project. (Scott Henuset interview in separate story)
- While negotiations between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the province remain in limbo, teachers are gearing up to take to the picket line.
Teachers have 120 days to take action unless a resolution is made between the Bargaining Association and the ATA. - Wheatbelt Baseball League tonight… High Prairie is in Peace River, 7:15 at the Ski Hill. The Stamps are 3-1, the Sauce is 0-4.
- The Toronto Blue Jays conclude their three-game set this afternoon in St. Louis.

- Air Quality warnings remain in effect for the Peace and Big Lakes, as smoke continues to blow around.
A mix of sun and cloud is also in the forecast with highs around 20 degrees this afternoon. Lows tonight are comfortable again, at around 10.
The Peace and Big Lakes could see some rain for Friday, and through the weekend.
