- AHS is reporting that Measles exposures possibly happened at the Emergency Department at the Peace River Health Center in the overnight hours of Friday into Saturday, as well as Sunday afternoon and evening.
- Peace Regional Police are seeking information into a possible stolen vehicle, from Nampa.
On Saturday, a 2008 Dark Green BMW was stolen from Nampa. The owner was alerted that their home had been broken into, when they noticed the vehicle missing. - Peace Regional RCMP are looking to identify a suspect in a B&E to a vehicle.
On Tuesday evening, a report was received that a vehicle was broken into in the area of 100 St. and 96 Ave. in Downtown Peace River. - The spring and summer months means a lot of road construction will be happening around the region.
Alberta’s Minister of Transportation, Devin Dreeshen, says people will have to be patient when dealing with construction zones. - Hockey Player Teagen Bouchard of Falher has been selected 14th overall by the Kamploops Blazers in the WHL Bantam Draft.
Bouchard played this past season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme prep school program. - The NWJHL is now nine teams strong with the addition of the Hinton Timberwolves.
They will play out of the Duncan Murray Rec. Center, and last played in the Canadian American Junior Hockey League in 2024. - The Centennial Cup National Junior A Hockey Championships start today in Calgary.
The Canucks first game is tonight against Melfort Saskatchewan. The Grande Prairie Storm play tomorrow night against Sudbury. - NHL playoffs tonight… Game 2 – Edmonton is in Las Vegas, the Oilers took the opening game. Game 2 – Carolina is in Washington, the Hurricanes took the opening game.
- The Toronto Blue will try to salvage a game in Anaheim tonight. This after back-to-back bullpen collapses in the first two games.
Chris Bassitt starts for the Jays against Jose Soriano. - A slight chance of showers this afternoon in the Northwest. This after 5-10 mm of rain in the Big Lakes this morning.
The breeze will still be a little stiff this afternoon as well, with highs in the mid to high teens. Lows tonight might be a little chilly, at just above freezing.
Temps might get into the 20’s on the weekend.
