- High Prairie RCMP have two youths in custody on firearms charges, after an incident near a business in Grouard.
One youth also had 23 warrants against him. Both are due in court later this month. - Alberta Health Services has officially cut the ribbon on a brand-new EMS facility in Valleyview.
The new facility is a “state-of-the-art” building, designed to accommodate the growing and changing needs of the area. - Some steps are being taken by the provincial government for getting more affordable child care spaces.
The minister of Jobs, Economy and Trade, Matt Jones, says more spaces in rural communities is one of their priorities. (Interview in separate story) - With the temperatures colder right now in the Northwest, people are cheating a little and running their unattended vehicles.
