- RCMP in the region are looking for a person wanted by authorities.
30 year-old Caitlyn Whitney Noskey is known for activities in Loon River, Peerless Lake, Little Buffalo, the Woodland Cree First Nation, Peace River, McLennan and Atikameg. - Fairview RCMP have three people in custody, thanks to tips from the public. Authorities responded to a call and found evidence of a break-in at a business.
A 42 year-old man, a 45 year-old man, both from Fairview, and a 43 year-old woman from Drumheller, face various charges. - Dates have been set for a preliminary inquiry in the death of a Gift Lake man.
November has been set up for Dakota Ivan Auger, who’s been charged in the death of 41 year-old Bradley Lamouche this past August. - The Village of Donnelly is searching for a new CAO. Matthew Ferris has stepped down from the position he’s been at since 2020.
Mayor Myrna Lanctot says the benefits from Ferris include development, like the establishment of the hemp plant. - The agreement of Co-ownership relationship of Peace River Logging between Mercer Peace River and the Woodland Cree First Nation, has been extended.
The agreement has been in place since 2004, and it is ensuring long-term sustainability, with jobs for more than 80 people. - RCMP in Manning have been doing good deeds by making their presence known around town. Authorities have been present at schools, saying HI to students and teachers.
They’ve also been present with foot patrols at Manning Comets hockey games, as well as in the downtown core.
They’ve also participated in Light Up the Town, and at a local curling match. - Alberta NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate in Edmonton-Strathcona.
Nenshi didn’t face any competition for the nomination and, if elected, would become the third NDP leader to represent the riding. - NPHL Tonight… High Prairie is in Valleyview, Falher is in Spirit River, and Dawson Creek is in Grande Prairie.
