- Trial dates set for Bradley Beaulieu of Yellowknife, who faces charges stemming from an accident on Highway 35, between Paddle Prairie and High Level last June.
The crash left a 33 year-old woman from Yellowknife dead, and a man with serious injuries. - Kyser Steven Yasinski will be spending three months in prison.
Yasinski pleaded guilty to theft charges, stemming from an incident last July, who was originally facing assault accusations. - Officials say that through local contractors and partial proceeds from the MD and the Town of Fairview, the repair to the roof of the Fairview Curling Club can get started.
Curlers and Board members have been using the rink in Whitelaw for the time being. The hope is to have the Fairview club up and running by this fall. - Thanks to the What’s for Dinner campaign, Peace Country Coop was selected to donate $2,000 worth of KRAFT and Heinz products to the Grimshaw Food Bank.
Officials with the Coop say the Food Bank was very content with the donation, thanks to patrons of Peace Country Coop. - Edmonton NDP MLA Rakhi Pancholi will run to be the Alberta NDP’s next leader.
