  • Peace Regional RCMP say 2 people were taken to hospital in serious condition after the accident on Peace River’s East Hill yesterday afternoon.  STARS was deployed.
    Investigation has revealed that 2 vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.
  • There’s a campaign to help the Peace River Regional Women’s Shelter.
    The shelter is in need of things like all sizes and types of clothing, toys, toiletries, kitchen supplies, bedding, and many more day to day items.

  • Northland School Division’s Debbie Mineault has been awarded the 2023 Outstanding Indigenous Educator of the Year.
    Mineault is the Director of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Education with the Division, and was selected by the Indigenous Education Council of the Alberta Teacher’s Association.
  • PRSD Superintendent Adam Murray says enrollment has gone up.
    The greatest increase has been in the Fairview region, where student population is up at both the Elementary and High School.
    There’s also been an increase at Peace River High School and Red Earth Creek School.
