Members of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation are counting down the hours until they can return home.
Over the Long Weekend a re-entry plan was released to people of the community.
It’s a 4-stage plan that goes into effect later this week.
Homes on the west side of Calais Corner Store/Cree Valley Convenience will get to head home first on Thursday.
They will be followed by Phase 1,2,3 (see map below), #69 Road/Town Site, and up to Kuskew Road from Highway #43.
Saturday, residents from Kuskew Road East will return to their homes, including Indian Farm and Resources.
The last step, which includes the Sandy Bay Area, North of the Lake, is still to be determined.
The Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation Administration Office continues to provide updates on their Facebook Page.
They also reminded people not to enter the community before the appointed day.
Services such as electricity, gas, and water are being restored to each area before re-entry.
The first evacuation orders for Sturgeon Lake area residents were released on Friday, May 5th.
