Slave Lake RCMP lay charges for Aggravated Assault and Arson after collision with pedestrian and residence fire

Slave Lake, Alta. – On June 14, 2023, at 3:08 a.m., the Slave Lake RCMP were dispatched to a collision involving an ATV and a pedestrian at a residence on the outskirts of Slave Lake, Alta.

Slave Lake RCMP along with Fire and EMS attended the scene and located a severely injured male who had been stuck by an ATV.  Due to his injuries the male was medically evacuated out of the community.

A few hours later at 7:28 a.m., Slave Lake RCMP again responded to the same residence after it had been set on fire.

As a result of the investigation Jordan Myles Auger (36,) who is a resident of Slave Lake, Alta. is charged with:

·       Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance causing bodily harm

·       Fail to remain at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm

·       Aggravated Assault

·       Arson — Recklessly cause damage by Fire

·       Mischief Under $5000

·       Uttering Threats to cause harm or death

·       Fail to Comply with Undertaking

Auger had a judicial interim release hearing and has been remanded in custody to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Prairie on June 19, 2023.
