RCMP Investigating Firearms Incident In Cadotte Lake

Peace Regional RCMP are investigating a firearms incident that happened in Cadotte Lake last night.

Officers say they received a 911 call at around 9:40 pm of a firearms complaint with an individual who had been injured at a residence in the area of Cadotte Lake on the Woodland Cree First Nation.

The 35-yr-old victim has been taken by air ambulance to an Edmonton area hospital with serious life threatening injuries.

The condition of the victim at this time is unknown.

Residents in Cadotte Lake were asked to shelter in place while police investigated, that has since been lifted but police say they will continue to have a presence in the area while they continue their investigation.
