Financial aid is now available for producers in the Peace Region to help maintain projects long-term.

The Provincial Government is offering the Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program, to offer funding that could see all eligible expenses covered to producers, who implement and maintain projects over a three-year term.

Funding maximums include $150,000 for active primary producers, and $300,000 for Grazing Reserve Associations/operators of a Community Pasture, or an approved Indigenous applicant.

Applications are being accepted, starting in February, until the end of they year, depending on the intake cycle schedule.

Applications are evaluated based on project size, carbon sequestration improvement, number of livestock impacted, and water quality and biodiversity enhancement.

This is the third year of the program, and officials will be be keeping applicants up-to-date with the proceedings of their inquiry.

More information is through the Government of Alberta, with their RALP program.

The program access liaison for the resilient agriculture landscape program, is Christine Campbell.
