PR RCMP looking for driver involved in a collision

UPDATE:

Peace River RCMP would like to inform the public that the driver was identified and has been contacted by Peace River RCMP.

A ticket for $810 was issued under the Commercial Vehicle Safety Regulation with regards to this incident.

Peace Regional RCMP seek public assistance in identifying vehicle from a non-fatal motor vehicle collision

Peace River, Alta. – At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 3, 2023, Peace Regional RCMP responded to reports of a single vehicle motor vehicle collision in the area of Highway 2 and Range Road 231 in Peace River.

Preliminary investigation revealed that, while the victim was driving westbound, an object fell off a vehicle traveling eastbound, striking the vehicle. The driver was injured but is recovering from their injuries.

Peace Regional RCMP wishes to speak to the driver of a white pickup truck, pulling a loaded trailer, that was last seen driving eastbound on Range Road 231. RCMP are requesting public assistance to identify the vehicle, trailer or driver. Anyone with relevant dashcam footage are asked to please submit it to the RCMP in order to assist in the investigation.
