Peace Regional RCMP lay charges from successful search warrant

Peace River, Alta. – On Sept 13, 2023, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of an individual discharging an air gun in the area of 100 Ave, Peace River.

Further investigation led RCMP to a private residence on 79 Ave, Peace River, where a search warrant was completed on Sept 15, 2023 with assistance from Peace Regional RCMP’s General Investigation Services Unit and Police Dog Services.

Drug seizure included:

  • 78 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 8.7 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • 2.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • 62 various pills

Additionally, several replica pistols, magazines and ammunition were seized.

On Sept 17, 2023, Roseanna Vivian Carifelle (43), a resident of Peace River, was charged with:

  • Unlawfully discharge a firearm
  • Assault
  • Mischief over $5000
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking: fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking: cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking: methamphetamine

Roseanna was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where she was remanded into custody with a court date of Sept 18, 2023, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.

As these matters are before the courts, no further updates or details surrounding the incident will be provided.
