PR Police arrest three on firearms charges

Peace Regional RCMP lay firearm charges after traffic stop

Peace River, Alta. – On May. 7, 2025, Peace Regional RCMP were conducting proactive patrols, in the area of 100 Ave around 11:00 P.M., when the member noticed a vehicle traveling where the owner is known to be on curfew conditions.

A traffic stop was initiated and RCMP located a sawed-off shotgun in the vehicle

Kaitlin Sinclair (22), a resident of Peace River was arrested for unsafe storage of firearm, unauthorized possession of firearm in motor vehicle, unauthorized possession of a firearm, as well as her warrant for possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

Sinclair was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where she was released with a court date of May 26, 2025 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.

Russell William Pasquan (34), a resident of Peace River, was arrested for unsafe storage of firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in motor vehicle, failure to comply with release order x2 and public mischief.

Pasquon was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where he was remanded with a court date of May 12, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.

A third individual was also arrested, but cannot yet be named as their information has not yet been sworn in court.
