
People in Peace River held a ceremony tonight at the Treaty 8 Memorial Site, to honour the 215 children found buried at an old Residential School near Kamloops.
Respects were paid with a ceremony that included a smudge.
Drumming and dancing was also part of the evening.
Many who attended also paid their respects by placing Children Shoes, Teddy Bears, and other offerings at the Memorial.
Right across the country Canadians are honouring the 215 children tonight by placing Teddy Bears on their front doorstep.
