Peace River Town Council will be gathering tonight at 5:00 for a Governance and Priorities meeting.

Council will be taking in a lot of presentations for Grants to Organizations applications.

Presentations that are confirmed include:

The North Peace Navigators seeking assistance for hosting Junior B Provincials,

The Peace Regional Dance Society for a Daddy Daughter Dance,

The Wahoos Winter Swim Club for their Annual Invitational Swim Meet,

The Underground Music Society for an upcoming concert,

The Peace River Curling Club, who are hosting a Club Championship Qualifier,

And Alberta Food Matters, to help support a food program for local schools.

Other topics include a review of the Taxi Pass Program Policy.

One of the amendments could mean that all seniors will be income tested, to see if they qualify for the program, including those already using the service.

Feedback from a letter and the online survey, will also be shared.

Council will also be going over drafts of the Capital, Utility, & Operating Budgets.

Plus, there’s a proposal from a potential developer.

Council Meetings take place at Town Hall in Downtown Peace River, and are open to the public.
Citizens are asked to enter through the side door along the street towards the Panago building.
